Devon is launching a new multi-agency coordinated approach to the risks young people experience outside their family home; contextual safeguarding. This approach aims to understand, and respond to, young people’s experiences of significant harm beyond their families. It recognises that the different relationships that young people form in their neighbourhoods, schools and online can feature violence and abuse. The training is aimed at professionals across the partnership to develop an understanding of the new framework. It will include an introduction to contextual safeguarding and how Devon will be responding to young people’s experiences of significant harm beyond their families. Training sessions commence in September 2019 - to book a place on Multi-Agency Adolescents Safety Framework training session please visit www.dcfp.org.uk/events/
