What's going well in your world?

Following the recent  meeting of the Children, Young People’s and Family Alliance Executive, Sally Kittle has asked for you to provide some feedback on information sharing. This will be discussed at a future meeting, however it would be useful to gather some information now about what is going well and what we need to do better in terms of information sharing to feed into the next discussion.

Improvements only occur with solid knowledge about what is going well and not so well on theground and in your settings. Please could you send your thoughts on information sharing by Friday 6th January.  Specifically:

  1. Examples of good practice where information sharing between services/organisations works well and in the interests of young people/families
  2. Examples of where information is not shared, where this could be improved upon to better support young people/families.

Please jot your ideas down and send them HERE

Reprocurement of Devon Integrated Children’s Services

The contract for children’s services, currently held by Virgin Care Ltd, ends in March 2018 and commissioners are in the process of re-procuring these services.

The specification for the services are being prepared based on what parents, children and young people have told us over the last few years. Devon County Council, NEW Devon Clinical Commissioning Group and South Devon and Torbay Clinical Commissioning Group would like to check how people still feel about the messages we have heard.

They are taking this opportunity to ask people about all children’s community-based health services, which include autistic spectrum disorder assessments, learning disability nursing, child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and children’s nursing.

Initial findings will be taken from the survey at the end of December 2016 in order to influence the drafting of the specification of the new service. We will continue to invite further feedback until end March 2017 to further inform service development.
