Level 3 Software Development Apprenticeship opportunity for a 16-18 year old

Baltic Training and Clysnet are excited to be recruiting for an Apprentice Software Developer to join their team of technical experts at their Head Office in Exeter.

Creating bespoke web solutions for their clients since 2010, specialising in everything from web development to CRM systems, they always aim to deliver a 1stClass service. Located south of Exeter Airport they are looking for a like-minded and creative individual to join their current team!

Duties 
You will be working alongside existing staff and be mentored and trained to carry out the following duties:

  • Using coding languages such as PHP, HTML and JavaScript
  • Working within Web and CRM Development
  • Designing the layouts of Web Applications
  • Working with CMS Systems such as Joomla and CRM systems such as vTiger.

Training to be provided

  • Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Software Development
  • BCS Level 3 certificate in Software Development Context and Methodologies ( part 1 & 2)
  • BCS Level 3 certificate in Programming (Part 1, 2 & 3)
  • Level 2 Functional Skills (English, maths and ICT)

Skills and qualifications required:

  • Java or other coding languages would be beneficial
  • Passionate about software
  • Keen to learn

The future is bright 
Upon completion of this apprenticeship programme, there are real progression opportunities available. Along with your employer, you may decide to progress onto our level 4 programme and take your training even further.
  

Salary, hours and benefits

  • £150 per week
  • Full time (37.5 Hours per week)

Location and travel 
This role is located in Exeter, South of the Airport and is accessible via public transport links.
