Apprentice Chef

Agreement for 1 year

Salary - £3.54 per hour

Maximum 40 working hours per week (aged 16-17)

Maximum 48 working hours per week (aged 18+)

This includes evenings and weekends based at Market Street, Newton Abbot

Young Devon is a progressive charity who are working with young people to transform their lives.  We have created a unique relationship between ourselves and River Cottage, where high quality food and supporting young people in their local community go hand in hand.

We are looking to recruit for an apprenticeship position for someone wanting to forge a career in the Food and Hospitality sector.

We are looking for a committed and motivated individual who is passionate about creating good quality food. This is a training position where you will be working alongside an experienced Head Chef to run the kitchen in our new venture. As part of the role you will be studying a Level 2 qualification in Professional Cookery with River Cottage.

You will be part of team that will build a thriving social enterprise that is recognised for its food, service and its commitment to local young people.  You will have a passion for improvement, a commitment to quality and strong skills in providing excellent customer care.
